I was shepherded through God’s kingdom by this connection to the kingdom that forced me to unlearn everything I had known about the radical love that comes from Jesus. Destroying my home team wasn’t meant to ruin relationships, it was a call from God to redefine them.
Paying attention to the cracks and crevices of our lives brings us closer to God.
The Kingdom of God is close enough for you to reach out and touch it, although, we must learn how to feel it.
At the first sign of thawed earth I began cultivating and curating my hope. I related deeply to the seeds that needed buried before they could bloom. I threw some around like confetti, I dug deep and planted bulbs, I willed it all to grow.
As I wrote the first list, my shoulders got tight and my head began to ache. My body was telling me the first list was too much. Slow down, it was saying. It’s okay, my soul reminded.
I am a woman who is called to Christ to become something she doesn’t truly understand yet. I think that can be said for most of us, and I truly believe if we can do this journey together we’ll always be better for it.
